AI MIDI Plugin

AI MIDI Plugin for Your DAW

Aether is an AI MIDI plugin that turns plain-language prompts into playable, drag-to-DAW MIDI, without leaving your session.

Aether is an AI MIDI plugin you load like any other instrument. Open it on a track, describe the part you want, and it generates editable MIDI you can drag into your project. It runs as VST3, AU, and Standalone, so it fits whatever DAW you already produce in.

Every format, every major DAW

Aether installs as an AU, VST3, and Standalone app for macOS and Windows, so it runs inside Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig, and Reaper, or on its own without a DAW.

Generate, then refine in chat

Prompt Aether for a melody, chord progression, bassline, or a full layered arrangement, then keep talking to it. It refines the MIDI it already wrote, and new parts land as named layers alongside the old ones, so you iterate toward the arrangement instead of rerolling from scratch.

Producer tools built in

Aether is more than a prompt box. It includes a piano roll, a MIDI Library that groups each idea with its version history, post-processing, MIDI capture, and custom prompts you can reuse.

  • Any number of named, instrument-tagged layers with per-layer solo and mute
  • Multi-track .mid export with one named track per layer, tempo, and time signature
  • Drag-to-DAW MIDI on any track

Frequently asked questions

What plugin formats does Aether support?

AU, VST3, and Standalone, on both macOS and Windows. Load it on a track in your DAW, or run the standalone app with no DAW at all.

Is Aether a subscription?

No. Aether is a one-time $60 purchase with free lifetime Aether 1.x updates and up to three machine activations. You only pay your AI provider for usage when you use your own API keys.

Which DAWs is the AI MIDI plugin compatible with?

Any DAW that hosts AU or VST3: Ableton Live, FL Studio, Logic Pro, Cubase, Studio One, Bitwig, Reaper, and others. There is also a standalone app.

Does it generate drums and chords, or just melodies?

Melodies, chord progressions, basslines, and full layered arrangements. Aether composes in any number of named, instrument-tagged layers (ask for a horns section or a counter-melody and it lands alongside what you have), and you can regenerate any layer independently.

Do I need to be online?

Cloud providers need a connection, but you can also run a local model through Ollama or LM Studio and generate offline.
