Multi-Track Generation
Generate separable Bass, Harmony, and Lead parts with per-part solo/mute, per-part MIDI channels, and multi-track .mid export to your DAW.
Layers
Multi-Track Generation
Aether can generate a song as separable layers rather than one flat stream. A multi-part clip is split into up to three named parts (Bass, Harmony, and Lead) that you can audition, edit, and export independently. A plain single-stream generation is simply treated as one "Full" part.
Parts in the Piano Roll
Each part is colour-coded in the piano roll so you can read the arrangement at a glance:
- ●Bass parts: orange
- ●Harmony parts: blue
- ●Lead parts: light blue
When a multi-part clip is loaded, per-part solo / mute toggles appear on the toolbar (they stay hidden for single-stream clips). Use them to isolate a layer while you listen, or to leave a part out before you export.
Per-Part MIDI Channels
Parts are stored channel-neutral and assigned a channel only at the output boundary, so each layer plays back and exports on its own MIDI channel:
| Part | Default MIDI Channel |
|---|---|
| Bass | 1 |
| Harmony | 2 |
| Lead | 3 |
Exporting to Separate Tracks
Drag a multi-part clip into your DAW and Aether writes a multi-track .mid: a tempo track plus one named track per part, each on its own channel, so Bass, Harmony, and Lead land on separate tracks ready to route to different instruments. A single-stream clip drags out as one track (see DAW Integration).
